Max Mackey, lead vocalist/guitarist for Peak2Peak & the Max Mackey Band, makes his solo debut at The Local Boulder on 5/16. “Solo shows are an opportunity to strip down sonically and play the music differently,” says Max. “I get to explore my voice and allow a vulnerability in playing that comes from a nowhere-to-hide space.” Playing an assortment of covers (Grateful Dead, Van Morrison, Neil Young) and originals too, Max’s solo shows are intimate, expressive, and make for a damn great time.
